The Chemainus Theatre Academy is focused on training, encouraging, and mentoring young artists who are passionate about Theatre and the Performing Arts. Programs are designed to equip students with performance skills that can be used both on and off stage, as well as bolstering creativity, encouraging critical thinking, and building self-confidence. Classes range from beginner to advanced, and allow students to build their skills in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Creative Drama.
Academy: The Building Blocks of Musical Theatre
Learn the essential skills required for Musical Theatre: solid vocal technique; strong character development; and an understanding of movement and basic dance skills. Explore material from the very best of musical theatre, all while gaining confidence and having fun!
Dates: March 26 – April 30, 2019 | Tuesdays 4:30-6:00pm
Location: Chemainus Theatre Rehearsal Hall, 9574 Bare Point Road
Who: 9 – 13 year old participants interested in musical theatre—no previous experience required!
Cost: $165 ($157.14 + GST)
